My commitment to exercise had been lacking and I was looking for was something to jump start me to better fitness.  Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the results I have achieved in a short year’s time.   

 

I was a little skeptical about something entitled “Boot Camp” and exercising with bands.   I envisioned a military environment and wondered how these bands were going to help me achieve my fitness goals.   However, since day one of G’Town Boot Camp, I was hooked!

 

I know each time I attend boot camp I am one day closer to better.   To say I am fit would be an understatement.  I have experienced a lifestyle change with the hope and belief that I can continue my new fitness habits and my journey to a leaner and healthier me. 

 

I always get the questions – How much weight have you lost? or You look younger, what have you done?  I just answer with 3 words:  G’Town Boot Camps.    Then I follow with 4 more words:  When are you coming? 

 

G’Town Boot Camps has literally become addictive and is like a tonic.  I have never hurt so good before! 

 

I can’t begin to thank Dave for his positive support and addictive spirit.

Thank Goodness for Children!!

 

Last Christmas I laughed when I received a gift certificate from my children for G’Town BootCamp…obviously my children thought it was their decision to get me back in shape.  My husband decided to join their mission and become my support.  Almost a year later we continue to join Dave at least two to three times per week as we realize the benefits both physically and mentally that G’Town BootCamp provides.

 

Dave is a great instructor and motivator regardless of your ability or age.  It is like having your own personal trainer for less than half the cost.  For anyone looking to improve their quality of life, we highly recommend giving G’Town BootCamp a try…you’ll be forever glad you did!

 Who says past  athletes can’t stay athletic!

 

I found Dave Schmitz and Performax back in 2005 while struggling to train for a half Ironman triathlon.  The increased running distance was proving to be more than what my body was prepared to endure.  I was close to conceding the notion that in my 40’s, I was too old to reach my goals of raising the level of endurance competition.    Short term, Dave was able to stabilize my situation and I completed the event.  Long term, through personal training sessions and regularly attending Dave’s Boot Camp, I have found that “functional fitness” that has afforded me to continue to enjoy high levels of activities.

 

It has been a wonderful transformation over the years.  I have shed the “old school” way of exercise I adopted back in the  70’s and 80’s while participating in team sports and have embraced the new concepts Dave promotes…and Dave’s holistic approach certainly has helped me improve my overall wellness. 

 

Over the years, I have become such a strong believer of the balanced approach Dave offers that I promote it every chance I get, whether at work, traveling or among family and friends. The early schedule of the Boot Camp makes it easy to prioritize exercise into my day.  The comrodery and friendships developed in itself is worth the early morning wake up…but the workout puts it all over the top!

Is Your Exercise program Boring ??

 

“Exercise use to be challenging and pretty boring for me I viewed it more of a task rather than a hobby.  That changed 7 years ago when I joined the G’Town BootCamp community.   I have found a new passion for exercise, enjoy working out with a group of people whom have similar goals and enjoy having fun even during challenging workouts.   Surprisingly, I can now easily go toe to toe with anyone my age.   Hard work, motivating and fun…even at 5:30 in the morning. Amazing!”

Does your workouts come with Variety and Friends??

 

What I enjoy about the boot camp is the variety of stuff we do from bands, to kettlebells, ropes, and even bodyweight.   The boot camp workouts are challenge and I always get a good workout.  Plus I have made some great friends including you Dave.  As long as I am physically able, I will always be part of G’Town BootCamps.

 How a BAND can change your life.

  

The band workouts have changed my life. By building my core strength and flexibility I have eliminated low back problems and most of my general achiness. The classes have also taught me how to work out more effectively and efficiently with the interval training. I am married with 4 boys and we are all hooked on Dave’s work outs. With this type of training my three oldest boys have been able to compete at a high level in high school and collegiate sports. My 12 year old has seen much improvement in speed and strength with band stretching and small 20 minute workouts.

  Moving is a GREAT thing.. Don’t Lose IT!!

 

I have been a member the G’Town BootCamp for a few years now.  At a time in my life I was wondering how long I could effectively keep working out, I came upon this fitness boot camp which took me literally to my core.  I learned the importance of core strengthening to alleviate some of my joint pains.  I don’t have to be in a gym to do the workouts and only need a band or 2.  I love the variety of each class, Dave’s energy as our instructor, and the camaraderie of the other camp members.  The camp has become an integral part of my life, my goal to keep moving.

  Do your Workouts that keep YOU coming back for more??

 

I spent a lot of time trying to develop a plan for myself and always stalled out after a few months. G’Town BootCamps is the first fitness program that has kept me coming back for more. Every week I look forward to my workouts in camp. I love the people and really feel like part of a family – we’re all there to motivate and inspire each other and we have a great time no matter what the challenge!

Thanks for consistently providing powerful workouts at boot camp.  I am always challenged both physically and mentally and never leave a session disappointed.  I am able to check my cares at the door and I feel obligated to give a 100% to my workout. You know I enjoy the challenge of a great workout, but more than that, I enjoy being around like minded people with a similar passion for better health.  G’Town Boot Camps is not about whistles, hollering and jumping jacks like many think.  It’s about learning how to exercise and how to incorporate fitness into a life-long commitment.  G’Town Boot Camps is a true fitness community, and working out weekly in such an environment, is the best way to stay motivated and committed to be the best that you can be.    Thanks for all that you do to keep us going each week.

 No more BORING Machines…. 

 

I joined the G Town boot camp about four years ago. At the time I was trying to lose some weight and I was so bored on the machines in the gym.  I never looked forward to working out.  Now I really enjoy coming to the camp. Dave always makes it fun and challenging at the same time. There are no two sessions alike and we all encourage each other. Although it is a group setting, Dave still is able to provide personal attention and is aware of any physical limitations and personal goals.  He challenges me so that I am in shape for downhill skiing every season.  Thank you Dave for all your hard work and encouragement!!

If you are a mom with 4 boys…. Staying is great shape is a MUST!!

 

I am a 46 year old married, mother of 4 boys.  Yes, Dave has had an impact on our entire family.

          My three older boys have worked with Dave in summer camps, boot camps and in one on one training.  Through the use of resistance bands, body weight training and interval training they have increased their speed, quickness, agility and what my 20 year old son refers to as functional strength.  This has helped them excel not only in their sports, but also has help to give them confidence in al l facets of their lives.  What is truly amazing is that as they progress away from organized sports, they continue to see fitness and exercise as a positive and integral part of their lives. They have learned how to remain fit on their own.

          My husband and I have also seen great benefits from working with Dave.  We are regulars at Dave’s morning boot camps.  As we get older the ability to stay fit and active is primary to us.   The emphasis on core strength and flexibility has helped us avoid injuries.  I have found resistance bands and body weight exercises a great tool for building strength and for avoiding the muscle mass loss that happens as we age.  Dave has taught us to exercise effectively and efficiently.  Even when we exercise on our own, we know how to make the most of our time.

          My youngest son, now 12, has already participated in 2 summer camps for middle school kids.  Not only did it help him with his quickness and speed, he had a great time.  We have also worked with our youngest at home with resistance bands.  He has seen how short workouts that are efficient and focused can have a huge impact on his abilities and performance in sports.  Again, his positive attitude about fitness and keeping his body healthy will stay with him throughout his life.   Fitness and health is a lifelong goal for our family.  Dave has done a lot to guide us in our quest.
